USPS Recommends New Shipping Services Prices for 2025
The Postal Service has filed a notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) for shipping service price increases effective July 13. The suggested changes were approved by the USPS Board of Governors this week.
The revisions would hike domestic shipping charges by around 6.3 percent for Priority Mail, 7.1 percent for USPS Ground Advantage, and 7.6 percent for Parcel Select. Priority Mail Express prices remain unchanged.

Although price changes for postal services are based on the consumer price index, shipping service rates are generally changed in response to market conditions. The USPS governors believe the new charges will keep the Postal Service competitive while also providing the agency with much-needed money.
The PRC will review them before these changes go into effect. The entire Postal Service price filing, including prices for all items, is available on the PRC website's Daily Listings section at prc.arkcase.com/portal/filings.
