As the peak season winds down, we want to take the opportunity to look back at 2022 - the experiences we had, the challenges we overcame, and the goals we achieved as a team.
2022 was a year of economic headwinds for many leading e-commerce merchants, and marketplaces took the initiative to future-proof their businesses, address inefficiencies, and sharpen their competitive edge.
Despite some challenges, the e-commerce industry is here to stay, and the market is growing at a more gradual rate. Industry players are now actively shifting towards data-driven solutions to optimize the bottom line, streamline operations, and reduce costs: To achieve results in today’s economy, they realize that every order, every shipment, and every loyal customer counts.
Expanding an enterprise-grade solution for e-commerce businesses worldwide
One of our key strengths is our platform’s data foundation, which is characterized by the scale and depth of how we integrate and normalize data and derive actionable insights. The way our customers can improve operations based on real-time results plays a massive role in a highly dynamic industry. In 2022, we continued to invest in upgrading our platform and continued to build on its momentum.

Two examples are our tracking widgets in 36+ languages under our ENGAGE feature and our sophisticated notifications, our NOTIFY module. They are at the core of every delivery experience and help merchants delight consumers, drive effective customer communications and improve internal processes.
One of the highlights of our NOTIFY roadmap was the expansion of our real-time HTML editor, combined with powerful field placeholders to personalize communication. It is a highly requested feature that enables the fast and easy creation of impactful emails. Our customers can configure their post-purchase notification strategy using 50+ event triggers and ensure the best possible setup, targeted to their data, with our notification workshops and leverage our real-time reporting.
Another key feature we expanded on in 2022 is RATE. With this sophisticated customer feedback tool, merchants can collect consumer ratings and feedback about the delivery experience via order tracking pages and delivery notifications. Layering feedback data with logistics events data in real-time powers deep operational insights and subsequently helps to improve last-mile performance and cost efficiency.
Doubling down on end-to end returns management:
A seamless and quick end-to-end returns solution is an absolute necessity for e-commerce businesses. Merchants that offer effortless returns for customers consistently outperform their competitors. That is why we have developed a fully integrated and data-driven e-commerce returns solution as a focal point of our 2023 product strategy.
Parcel Perform’s new returns module will cover the entire return journey, offering complete customizability with supporting flexible shipment methods such as carrier drop-offs and product exchanges. As a result, consumers will remain fully in control of their post-purchase experiences. They can seamlessly initiate a return from a successfully delivered shipment.
As a leading data and delivery experience platform, we are already managing order, warehousing, and outbound parcel data for our enterprise customers. That puts us in a prime position to offer our robust returns module as the latest add-on to an already fully-rounded and well-integrated solution.
Data-driven innovations - Our PREDICT solution:
From where we stand, we see a market that is demanding for an innovative end-to-end platform – one that can support the entire post-purchase experience from checkout to fulfillment and returns.
Parcel Perform offers the best and most comprehensive data foundation in the e-commerce logistics industry, which makes us well-equipped to prioritize data-driven innovations. Going into 2023, we will pair our data strength with the power of machine learning to roll out exciting upgrades to our PREDICT module, combining specific orders and warehousing data with our insights to create individual and customized prediction models for customers.
Another focus for us will be on expanding the use of our data foundation as one of our core strengths. In the past year, we explored the business use cases for applying machine learning technology to our data. From there, we embarked on fully developing exciting new products that help our customers become even more competitive. Our products will incorporate highly accurate delivery date predictions, as well as parcel booking that lets e-commerce merchants gain independence in end-to-end label creation and shipping process management.
Enterprise-grade services:
As a global player in the delivery experience industry, our customers span the globe. One thing we learned from serving some of the world's biggest, most dynamic markets was that implementation speed is key to achieving the highest possible ROI. Hence, we have invested in an enterprise-grade onboarding and dedicated solutions team implementation process that has successfully been executed across many leading brands in less than four weeks to show immediate business results that are based on a trusted collaboration with our clients and executed with speed and efficiency.
We also pride ourselves on providing 24/7 customer support service with a median response time of under two minutes. Our goal is to ensure our global customer base knows they can rely on Parcel Perform, regardless of location and time zone.

Customer expectations are rising exponentially, and 2022 showed that this trend continues regardless of economic circumstances. In 2022 we widened our customization portfolio, making sure to develop bespoke right-sized functionalities to match our customers’ evolving business requirements.
We expanded into the United States and entered strategic partnerships
The United States is one of the world’s most vibrant e-commerce and logistics markets. Parcel Perform has been active in the US since 2016, and we are delighted to open our first US office in April 2022. Michael Bogart, VP of Sales, Americas, leads our US team with the aim to help e-commerce businesses in the United States, Canada, and Latin America achieve their customer lifetime value and delivery experience goals.
In October, we concluded our data partnership with Quiet Platforms. With this collaboration, we enable greater transparency and efficiency for retailers and brands within the entire Quiet Platforms supply chain network. The concept of co-opetition and collaboration is one of the most exciting movements in e-commerce logistics to date. We are proud to play a crucial role in Quiet Platforms fulfillment ecosystem and provide much-needed data support in their plans to revolutionize the industry.
News of the partnership gained significant visibility and recognition by leading media publications in the United States, such as Bloomberg and Supply Chain Dive. It even made it to the Nasdaq, extensively validating our platform’s value proposition and pledge to innovation.

Our e-commerce logistics insight platform, Parcel Monitor, supports our vision for strengthening all participants in the e-commerce logistics ecosystem and has been providing an enhanced design and an even more intuitive user flow.
With that, Parcel Monitor remains a critical component of our mission to make e-commerce logistics transparent for the world. It has a powerful but free parcel tracking service that helps millions of users worldwide track any parcel across global carriers.
We want to share our gathered insights with a growing community of e-commerce and logistics professionals. By sharing information, we help facilitate meaningful collaborations between industry players and contribute to outcomes that benefit the entire industry.

2022 was a year of reopening for many businesses. And with pandemic lockdowns and social restrictions out of the way, we stepped up our focus on in-person team-based activities.
