Twelve New Electric Trucks for Long-haul Routes in the DACHSER Network

The DACHSER network's e-truck fleet is expanding, with twelve Mercedes-Benz eActros 600s supplied to the German-Austrian subsidiary Brummer Logistik in mid-December. The vehicles, which have a range of around 500 kilometers, will be utilized for both regional and long-distance food transportation.

"The deployment of the first eActros 600 in the DACHSER network is another milestone for us in the transition to zero-emission drives," says Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at DACHSER. "More and more battery-electric tractor units are entering the market for heavy-duty transportation, and their ranges are improving.

As a catalyst for sustainability, it is critical that DACHSER puts these vehicles into practical use as soon as possible to acquire more experience with electromobility, particularly in long-distance transportation. 14 Mercedes-Benz eActros 600s will be deployed at six more DACHSER locations in Europe during the following few months.

Scan Global Logistics Expands Into Tanzania to Complete Its Access to East Africa

Scan Global Logistics (SGL) has expanded into a new market by establishing its first office in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. This new market entry strengthens SGL's position in East Africa, allowing it to meet the growing demands of a significant economic hub while also increasing its footprint in a fast-developing region.

A physical presence in Tanzania helps the ambitious logistics carrier to strengthen partnerships with local businesses, governments, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), encouraging trust and collaboration. With a local office, SGL can provide speedy customs clearance and dependable last-mile services to satisfy the region's increasing requirements.

Ceva Logistics Boosts Low Carbon Fleet With 23 Electric Trucks in Europe

CEVA Logistics has announced the addition of 23 electric trucks to replace diesel vehicles for collection and distribution operations in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. CEVA is progressing toward its goal of being net zero by 2050 by increasing its fleet of low-carbon vehicles.
