Selection process for the Call for Speakers competition

Each year, representatives from a wide range of online shops and e-commerce service providers - both large and small - participate in the competition. To reach the stage, however, they must pass through a rigorous 5-step selection process:

  1. Submissions – Entries are submitted across 9 categories. Strong ones usually address current industry challenges, share practical case studies or data-driven insights and offer fresh, well-structured and original perspectives. The organizers are looking for proposals from credible experts that are relevant, insightful and inspiring.

  2. Public voting – The community votes to highlight the most relevant topics.

  3. Top proposals – The top 5 in each category advance to the Advisory Board review.

  4. Final decision – The Advisory Board selects 1 winner per category, considering both votes and additional criteria.

  5. Wildcard selection – Independently, the Advisory Board also chooses 15 standout proposals, regardless of vote count, to present on stage.

Participating in the competition has several benefits for the winners, as they not only deliver a talk but also gain visibility, strengthen their professional and company profile, and are further invited to exclusive networking opportunities around the E-commerce Berlin Expo.
