Behind the Scenes: Our Key Account Manager, Stefan!
1. Who is Stefan, in your own words?
I am a perfectionist by nature. Sometimes my desire to self-optimize might be over ambitious but I enjoy constantly striving to be a better version of myself. Being a people person also makes me particularly emphatic about the connections that surround me. As someone who values companionship, I enjoy supporting others, and being a source of motivation helps keep me motivated in the long run.
2. What does a typical day look like for you at Parcel Perform and what are you currently working on?
A typical day for me starts with going through my agenda for the day. Following up on communication - both internal and external would help me then re-adjust my agenda if necessary. A large part of my job includes coordinating and aligning with internal teams after my meetings with the customers I work with. Relationship building is a huge part of my job and keeping the customers happy sets the stage for improving customer satisfaction.
One important thing I should add is that there is no such thing as a “typical” day for me. As I am in a bit of a hybrid position at the moment my daily schedule has to be flexible. Depending on the changes that occur with the meetings I have with new customers and current ones, my agenda adapts. Unexpected tasks or meetings are part of my role and quick reactions are required on my end. That’s what I love most- things are always changing!
3. As a KAM what made you want to work with Parcel Perform?
Before joining Parcel Perform, I had been involved in the importation of luxury car parts to several countries spanning multiple regions. I saw the need for a tracking solution such as ours as many providers lacked the capabilities to do so then.
When I discovered Parcel Perform’s solution not just enabled customers to track parcels in real-time but that it was a reliable, intuitive and data-centric platform - I jumped at the chance to join. It was important to me that I be a part of their mission to provide such a solution as it is hard to find one this expansive.
The real clincher is hearing their impressive story as an expanding enterprise business. Working with international teams and learning from customers and teammates has exposed me to different languages, cultures, and personalities.
4. What advice do you have for other KAMs?
The most important thing is to explore solutions together. Exchanging ideas and learnings are important as shared knowledge helps us better meet the expectations of our customers in the long run. Reflecting on our respective customer goals also helps us problem-solve on the daily. The final solution should take a bit of a trial and error approach as solutions should not be a one size fits all.
5. What is your favorite thing about working as a KAM at Parcel Perform?
It is hard to pick just one thing but I enjoy that Parcel Perform’s solution is customizable and constantly evolving. It shows that we are able to meet the expectations of our customers and truly be a leader in the parcel tracking field. As a KAM, I get to hear first-hand the customer experience associated with our platform. Being at the forefront of that enables me to push for solutions so that we share common goals with our customers.
6. What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I once ran a full marathon at 30+°C outside temperature (I do not recommend this to anyone).
7. What excites you most about Parcel Perform?
I cannot express enough how working in an international environment is the way forward. As the world gets smaller, country markets become more diverse, and working at Parcel Perform allows me to experience that firsthand.
Our diversity is what strengthens us and unifies us as a team at the end of the day. Each person contributes to the Parcel Perform culture and mission and with a growing team I am confident the evolution of Parcel Perform will showcase a gold-standard of parcel tracking solutions globally.
8. A motto or personal mantra to end off?
If it's impossible it hasn't been done (yet). I may have stolen this from someone, why don’t you take a guess?
